Weather Update - Sunday March 16th - All Teams report to Grounds
16 Mar by Alan Moss
The RDCA Senior Committee has just concluded its discussions and has decided that all grades will report to grounds for today.
This decision has been reached to allow games that can be commenced or completed without impact from the weather to be done so. In making this decision, the RDCA Senior Committee has also determined that if play does not commence or if play is interrupted and a first innings result has not been reached play will be permitted to go into the reserve day allocations next weekend. Any overs that are lost today due to the weather will be allowed to be made up on the prescribed reserve days, please note that once a first innings result is reached a reserve day would not be utilised.
We have also had the question raised if a player is part of a completed Grand Final this weekend would they be available for selection in a different Grand Final next weekend on a reserve day. Our answer would be – All Premier 2, District 1, and District 2 Grand Finals are fixtured for the same dates and will be considered the same round and players will only be able to play in one of those Grand Finals. Premier 1 Grand Finals are fixtured for the following weekend and open selection would be allowed utilising players that are not playing in a reserve day Grand Final.
Members of the Senior Committee will be available to assist in any issues arising from today’s play, please feel free to contact them for assistance with any concerns or disagreements etc.
