All Junior and Senior Cricket Cancelled tomorrow (Sat 22nd) Extreme Fire Warning

21 Feb by Alan Moss

After carefully reviewing the latest weather forecast for tomorrow the RDCA has become aware of the “Extreme Fire Danger Warning” that is now in place for the Central Forecast District.

As you will read in the attached weather warning the CFA advises all people in the Central Forecast District to “enact their Bushfire Survival Plan now”, with this being the case the RDCA has taken the decision that we can not in all good conscience continue with the scheduled Senior Competition games tomorrow.

Tomorrow’s two day matches will now revert to one day games next Saturday, District 2 matches will be abandoned.

We ask that all involved in the RDCA take extra care tomorrow, and particularly those that reside in high fire danger areas.

Later this evening this information will be released on the RDCA Facebook page, we do remind clubs that we expect all social media engagement on the RDCA Pages to be respectful.

Kind Regards
Paul Broussard
RDCA Senior Secretary.
